On October 21, 2011, Radio One announced they will operate WGPR effective immediately, under a local marketing agreement with the locally-owned Masons group, ending 47 years of Mason's broadcasting endeavours. Five days later on October 26, WGPR adopted the on-air branding as Hot 107-5 and its Urban contemporary format moved from the 102.7 frequency to the 107.5 frequency (that station was urban gospel-formatted WPZR Praise 102.7, now Christian-formatted WDKL.) That station's call letters, WHTD, did not move with the frequency shift.
