In April 2013, Fox Television Stations took control of WMYT-TV, along with WJZY from Capitol Broadcasting Company, effectively making the station an owned-and-operated MyNetworkTV affiliate. On May 9, it changed its branding to simply My 12 (the network's cable position), and introduced the universal MyNetworkTV O&O logo and mascot, known as C. More. WMYT-TV is the only MyNetworkTV affiliate to identify itself by its channel position on Charlotte area cable systems rather than its PSIP/analog channel number. WMYT and WJZY was sold to Nexstar Media Group on March 2, 2020 in a swap with Fox affiliates WITI and KCPQ along with MyNetworkTV-affiliate KZJO which was sold to Fox Corporation the same day.
2025–present[]
On September 1, 2025, WMYT removed its affiliation with MyNetworkTV, becoming a CW station, replacing WCCB in the role. MyNetworkTV programming would move to WJZY-DT8, which usually carries Rewind TV.
