1955-1958
WT05 signed on the air on September 27, 1955. The station was owned by the Meredith Broadcasting Company. It was originally a CBS affiliate with DuMont programming.
1958–1959
WT05 became a DuMont affiliate on December 5, 1958, with the newly launched WTOL-TV taking the CBS affiliation.

On September 1, 2014, WT05 was shut down and its programming inventory and CW affiliation moved to WTVG's second digital subchannel.
