On January 18, 1998, WNUV dropped its affiliation with UPN in favor of joining The WB. UPN partner United Television, a subsidiary of BHC Communications purchased WHSW and converted the station from home shopping to a UPN O&O and was renamed to WUTB. In 2001, News Corporation's Fox Television Stations division purchased BHC Communications. (including WUTB)

In 2013, WUTB was acquired by Deerfield Media, which transferred the station's options to Hunt Valley-based Sinclair Broadcast Group (owner of Fox affiliate and flagship station WBFF and operator of CW affiliate WNUV). Following the closure of Fox's sale of the station to Deerfield that June, the station changed its branding to "MyTV Baltimore".
