1999–2001; 2021[]
On April 29, 1999, WWF launched SmackDown! as a one night special on network television, the show was a huge success on UPN.
On August 26, 1999, WWF SmackDown! made its television debut as a weekly programming series on UPN. SmackDown was taped on Tuesday, and aired a 2 hour format event on Thursday nights from 8:00-10:00 PM.

2001–2008[]

On August 9, 2001, after Rhyno gored Chris Jericho through the original SmackDown Ovaltron set, the following week on August 16, 2001, the show received a brand new SmackDown set that contains a giant fist with heavy metal plates as shattered glass alongside with the WWF logo on top of the fist.
The following year on May 6, 2002, the company changed its name from World Wrestling Federation (WWF) to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), due to the lawsuit between WWE and the World Wildlife Fund for Nature.
On September 9, 2005, WWE SmackDown was moved to a Friday slot. The following year, after the merger between both UPN and The WB, the show was moved to The CW.

2008–2010[]

Starting with this logo, WWE dropped the exclamation point beside the SmackDown wording. On October 2008, WWE SmackDown was moved from The CW to MyNetwork TV, and two years later until October 2010, the show was moved to SyFy (formerly known as SciFi) on cable television for the first time.

Same as the 2010 logo, but the then-current WWE logo is replaced by the 2014 logo.
2015–2016[]

After five years on SyFy, the show was moved again, this time on the USA Network, the exact same channel that Monday Night Raw ran on. SmackDown also returned to a Thursday night slot with the January 7, 2015 edition. On May 25, 2016, as part of the re-implementation of the brand extension and split between Raw and SmackDown, it was announced that SmackDown would move to Tuesday nights and be broadcast live.

Revealed by SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan on his official Twitter page. This logo was briefly shown on Monday Night Raw the week before the initial draft episode. Raw received a new logo along with SmackDown Live to coincide with the new "brand extension".
WWE Friday Night SmackDown[]
2019–2024[]
On August 30, 2019, WWE released a trailer promotion of SmackDown Live moving to Friday nights and moving to Fox. It was announced in 2018. As of this new change, WWE made a new logo which looks like the 2001-2008 and 1999-2001 logo mixed together. The Fox run began on October 4, 2019, and ended when the show returned to USA Network on September 13, 2024.
2024–present[]

A new logo was unveiled for the show's return to USA Network on September 13, 2024. On December 27, 2024, WWE aired the very last 2 hour SmackDown event that has aired for 25 years. As for January 3, 2025, will mark the beginning of a 3 hour SmackDown event for the first time ever on the USA Network.
