The Wii U was known as the Project Café during its pre-launch. It uses the same style from the Wii, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS logos.
Wii U[]
2011 (E3 2011)[]
This logo was first shown at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011. It uses the same wordmark as the Wii logo, featuring a modified Horatio font[1] with a horizontally extended "W." The "ii," while resized to accommodate the changes found in the former character, remain unaltered.
2012–2017[]
The shade of blue found in the "U" portion was slightly changed for the release. It is now #009AC7 from the previous version's #00ACCA. Nintendo stopped making games for the Wii U, ending production in January 2017, but third party games were still made for the system until 2020.
