On 11 December 2008, Wilkinson ditched its existing branding and replaced it with "One Touch", though it did not come into effect until January 2009.
Designed by Jupiter Creative, the new branding was showcased in new format stores in Thornaby, Northallerton, Sheffield, Leicester, Newton, Walton-on-Thames, Castle Douglas, Aycliffe, Motherwell and Clydebank. Elements of the new brand were later phased in more widely, including point of sale materials, carrier bags and a relaunched website.
Wilko[]
2015–present[]
In 2015, the Wilko name was applied to the entire company. In August 2023, Wilko entered into administration after struggling with financial and supply issues for some time which were mainly caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and had put 12,500 jobs at risk, all 400 stores across the UK were expected to close.
The final stores closed down on 8 October 2023 but Wilko's website and intellectual property have been acquired by multi retailer The Range and the company resumed online shopping later that month. Wilko has also reopened 5 of its stores since its bankruptcy.
