Wind Telecomunicazioni, more commonly known as Wind, was an Italian telecom company that launched in 1997 and expanded to Greece and Canada in the 2000s.
In 2011 the company was acquired by the Russian group VimpelCom.
In 2016 Wind (belonging to VimpelCom) merged with Tre (belonging to CK Hutchison Holdings), creating the joint venture Wind Tre.
The Wind brand remained in use until the rebranding in 2020, to then be replaced by the new single Wind Tre brand.

Infostrada[]
Infostrada, also known as Wind Infostrada was an Italian telecom company that launched in 1995 and was acquired by Wind in 2002.
The Infostrada brand remained in use until the rebranding in 2020, to then be replaced by the new single Wind Tre brand.
