Used in Windows Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1. Windows Media Center has stopped development in 2009, shortly after Windows 7 released, thus leaving Windows Media Center on Windows 8 and 8.1 never changed. Windows Media Center has been shut down in 2015 and then replaced by paid DVD Player app for Windows 10. Note that it mainly still works, despite becoming out of support. On January 14, 2020, the end of support date for Windows 7, EPG data (Program Guide Data Service) for Windows Media Center have no longer been available for download from Microsoft.
