Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs (WinFLP), released in 2006, was a version of Windows XP Embedded intended for thin clients and older PCs. Extended support for this release ended in 2014.

In 2011, Microsoft replaced Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs with Windows Thin PC (WinTPC), based on the Windows 7 codebase. Extended support for this release ended in 2021.
