The current WizKids logo was introduced on September 24, 2007. Topps, the owner at the time, deactivated the company in November 2008, in response to the Great Recession that was going on at the time, but was relaunched as a result of its buyout by the National Entertainment Collectibles Association (NECA) in September 2009.
