In 1987, Woolworths launched a new campaign, "The Fresh Food People", which is still in use to this day, albeit with a newer logo created in 2009.

In 1985, Woolworths Limited acquired the Australian division of Safeway, Inc. Two years later, Safeway's "ribbon leaf" logo (the same one as Safeway in the US) was replaced by Woolworths Limited's "The Fresh Food People" branding.
2009 - Current
Safeway stores in Australia change their name back to Woolworths.
