In 2012, the Fox affiliation was moved to the American station KFXV-LD and XHRIO-TV became a charter affilate of MundoFox.
2015–2016[]

Following the shutdown of MundoMax in 2016, XHRIO-TV became a CW affiliate.
2016–2021[]

XHRIO-TDT changed its position on the dial from 2.1 to 15.1. Entravision announced that it had elected not to pay the 20-year lump sum renewal for XHRIO's concession; the station has left the air at the expiration of its concession on December 31, 2021.
