XL was originally launched on October 8, 1996 as GSM-XL.
Pro XL
1998–2004
Pro XL was launched in 1998, the prepaid and postpaid version of GSM-XL.

2004–2006
On June 25, 2004, Pro XL was renamed simply XL.
2006–2009
The logo was jazzed up on September 21, 2006 with the launch of its 3G broadband network services.
2009–2014
The Axiata logo has applied into the XL logo on June 8, 2009.
2014–present
2014–2016
On October 28, 2014, XL Axiata unveiled the new logo of XL along with the launch of Real Mobile 4G LTE network. The logo consisted of the yellow 'X' with the green part uncovered which forms letter L. The logo was usually accompanied by the dark blue background.
2016–present
On October 5, 2016, to commemorate its 20th anniversary, XL introduced a flat design of its 2014 logo and new color palettes consisted of blue and teal, similar to the 1996 logo.
