XL was originally launched on 8 October 1996 as GSM-XL.
Pro XL[]
1998–2004[]
Pro XL was launched in 1998, the prepaid and postpaid version of GSM-XL.

2004–2006[]
On 25 June 2004, Pro XL was renamed simply XL.
2006–2009[]
The logo was jazzed up on 21 September 2006 with the launch of its 3G broadband network services.
2009–2014[]
The Axiata logo has applied into the XL logo on 8 June 2009.
2014–present[]
2014–2016[]
On 28 October 2014, XL Axiata unveiled the new logo of XL along with the launch of Real Mobile 4G LTE network. The logo consisted of the yellow 'X' with the green part uncovered which forms letter L. The logo was usually accompanied by the dark blue background.
2016–present[]
On 5 October 2016, to commemorate its 20th anniversary, XL introduced a flat design of its 2014 logo and new colour palettes consisted of blue and teal, similar to the 1996 logo.
