July 19, 2005 (Xbox.com)[2]

In 2005 with the reveal of the Xbox 360, a new logo was adopted; the "X" is now in a gray ball, and the wordmark was changed and was designed by Landor Associates.

2010–2013[]

In 2010, in time for the launch of the Kinect sensor for the Xbox 360, the logo was updated.

2012–2021[]

This logo was applied due to the adoption of the Metro design language and is used as a primary logo for Xbox Live on Windows Phone and Xbox Games on Windows 8. This logo was not used for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

2013–2019[]

In 2013, the logo was updated in time for the reveal of the Xbox One.

2019–present[]

This refresh of the logo slightly emboldened the wordmark. The refresh was accompanied by the unveiling of the Xbox Series X & S series of consoles. Sometimes for promotional purposes, the logo may also be customized to promote a specific game.
