The logo is different from the "Kazuma Kiryu saga" predecessor Yakuza games, as it features its new protagonist named Ichiban Kasuga.
In the Western localization of that game, it changed its name to "Yakuza: Like a Dragon" instead of "Yakuza 7" and now features its English translation of the Japanese name of the series as a subtitle, which later being used as a main logo of the whole series after the Yakuza series was rebranded to Like a Dragon in 2022. Thus, this was the last game to use the Yakuza name.
