UKTV History
2004–2009
- "We were asked by UKTV to come up with a new design for UKTV History. With the help of some clever research folk we established 'fascinating insights into history's best stories' as the most promising positioning line for the channel and this became the starting point for creative development. From this, we gently coaxed the brand essence of 'page-turning history' into centre stage and asked it to carry the show.
- The idents took the form of rapidly turning pages of a history book. Each page contained detailed information and, as they turned, the markings on their edges formed a fleeting image of an iconic image of historical significance - illustrating how the channel's programmes give the viewer a depth of information to help them form the bigger picture." – Red Bee Media
On March 8, 2004, all UKTV channels adopted the UKTV prefix, and UK History becomes UKTV History. The rest of the original identity remained.
