YouTube Music Key left its beta stage and launched as YouTube Red on October 28, 2015.
2017–2018[]
YouTube Red's logo was updated on August 31, 2017 to fit in line with YouTube's then-recent redesign introduced two days earlier.

On June 7, 2018, less than a year after the service rebranded, YouTube Red changed its name to YouTube Premium and spawned a sister app and subscription service under the YouTube Music name.
2024–present[]
On June 7, 2024, YouTube and its subscription service soft-launched a new logo including a lighter wordmark and a more pink icon. It would launch globally on October 22 through a website redesign.
