Zagrebačka banka (ZABA) is the largest and oldest bank in Croatia. It is named after Zagreb, the country’s capital. It was established in 1914 as Gradska štedionica and adopted its current name in 1977.
Since March 2002 it has been owned by the Italian UniCredit Group, and its logo accordingly includes the UniCredit logo. Its largest competitor is Privredna banka Zagreb, which is owned by Intesa Sanpaolo, another Italian banking group.
