Zee ETC Punjabi was one of two Punjabi-language entertainment channels in India owned by the Zee network, the other being Zee Punjabi, which in July 2013 was converted into a news channel, Zee Punjab/Haryana/Himachal.
Zee ETC Punjabi was launched on 3 July 2000 as Alpha ETC Punjabi, then renamed to ETC Punjabi in 2004 and finally to Zee ETC Punjabi on 19 June 2011 during Zee’s networkwide rebrand. The channel shut down on 30 April 2014. Note that what is now Zee Punjab/Haryana/Himachal was also launched using the Alpha brand, as Alpha TV Punjabi.
Another channel launched as simply ETC was renamed to Zee ETC Bollywood in 2011.
Zee ETC Punjabi is not to be confused with:
- Zee Punjabi (UK), which was also launched as Alpha ETC Punjabi. It shut down in 2018.
- A new version of Zee Punjabi that was launched in early 2020.
Alpha ETC Punjabi
Zee ETC Punjabi
Zee ETC Punjabi ceased broadcasting on 30 April 2014.
- Zee ETC Bollywood, the only other channel to use the ETC brand in India.
