1997–2008 (Cartoon Network)[]

1997–1999[]

Toonami was launched on March 17, 1997, the program block was aired on weekday afternoons at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Cartoon Network.

1999[]

On the day ReBoot premiered on Cartoon Network, this logo was used briefly in 1999.

1999–2000[]

This logo was introduced when TOM made his debut.

2000–2003, 2017[]

This logo was also used for the Kids' WB! block with the same name from 2001 to 2002. This logo was selected by fans on Toonami's Facebook page to be re-used to celebrate Toonami's 20th anniversary from March 18 to April 15, 2017.

2003–2004[]

2004–2007[]

On April 17, 2004, Toonami moved from weekday afternoons to Saturday nights on 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM primetime on Cartoon Network. Miguzi took Toonami's old weekday afternoon timeslot on April 19, 2004.

2007–2008[]

On September 20, 2008, after 11 years since Toonami was on the air on Cartoon Network. Toonami was shutdown, due to low ratings.

2012–present (Adult Swim)[]

2012–2013[]

Toonami originally "relaunched" on Adult Swim (the nighttime programming block on Cartoon Network) on April 1, 2012 for one night using the 2004 logo, but only as an April Fools joke. However, after a high demand by fans to bring the block back, Toonami officially relaunched for good on Adult Swim on May 26, 2012.

On Friday, May 31, 2024, the 2004 Toonami logo and half of its elements were recycled once more under Toonami Rewind substituting the Friday timeslot of Checkered Past.

2013–2014, 2015[]

At MomoCon 2013, Toonami staff announced that the overall design of the block would be changed. The staff would later confirm online that the block would receive the new look on April 27. With the premiere of Intruder II on November 7, 2015, the logo type returned temporally in red. On December 12, in line with the events of Intruder II, this logo was not used.

2014–2015[]

On April 4, 2014, Toonami staff online teased that they "have some goodies" for the viewers. The new look debuted on April 5.

2015–2016[]

This logo debuted on December 19, 2015, and was constructed from a modified version of the Krona One typeface.

2016–2018[]

SVG NEEDED

This logo debuted on November 26, 2016. The actual logo's color is light blue, but when it is put in front of a white background it is very difficult to see. This logo was put up following the events of Intruder III.

2018–2019[]

On June 2, 2018, a new logo debuted to coincide with the debut of FLCL Progressive.

2019–2021[]

On December 14, 2019, a new logo and branding debuted after the events of the Total Immersion Event The Forge and the debut of TOM 6.0.

2021–2022[]

On March 20, 2021, a new logo and branding was silently debuted.
